We made it with about day to spare. The challenge was to raise $25,000 and if successful PepsiCo through LifeWtr would match it for helping feed our Veterans. Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet with representatives from both Jewel and PepsiCo to pick up the great start towards this year’s fundraising efforts. We have an opportunity to have $2800 matched from donors willing to part with stimulus checks. We have till Sunday to raise the money for it to be matched. Last year when the pandemic hit we were able to put together some events and raised just enough to host an event that provided groceries for Veterans. This year we don’t have either of our main two fundraisers scheduled. This creates a HUGE issue if we can’t raise much-needed funding ahead of time. Simply put… if we are unable or are significantly short we will have no other options to drastically reduced the number of recipients. So, I personally ask any of you that were fortunate enough I receive the extra stimulus to please consider makings a donation to help feed Veterans in need. This is the matched $25k from LifeWtr </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> Just yesterday we also picked up a few donations that was highlighted by a generous $5,000 donation from our friends MVC Corp. (Most Valuable Construction). They asked this be utilized for this year and we immediately made the additional recipients day by calling them and sharing the great news. </span> </p> <p> <br/> </p> <p> <span> Thank You everyone for the support as next weekend will be the Jewel Shopping Experience for all 525 recipients.
